Eminent 4544 Ubuntu 11.04 No Connection (RT2501/RT2573)

I saw the networks, but connecting was not possible.

After:

$ sudo iwconfig wlan0 power off

i could.

So I

$sudo gedit /etc/rc.local

and added

iwconfig wlan0 power off

.
